Two New Clips from WHIPLASH, Which You Should Go See Today

Whiplash opens today, and you guys really need to see it. Like, now. Why are you still reading this? If you haven’t caught on yet, everyone at GeekTyrant loves this movie. It was all of our favorite at Sundance, and we just want everyone else to know its magnificence. Yeah, I said magnificence. If you’re still on the fence and considering a Dracula Untold screening instead, here are two clips to give you a little bit more of a feel for the movie. The first is called “I’m Looking for Players” and shows Miles Teller’s first encounter with the instructor played by J.K. Simmons. The second is called “Dinner Table” and shows a scene in which a cocksure Teller has dinner with family. When you’ve finished watching, go buy your tickets for Whiplash. I promise you, you will not regret this one.

Here’s the synopsis:

A promising young drummer enrolls at a cutthroat music conservatory where his dreams of greatness are mentored by an instructor who will stop at nothing to realize a student's potential.
