Even though Star Trek writer Alex Kurtzman has been hard at work developing a Venom feature film for Sony Pictures, at this point it seems like there's no guarantee that it's going to happen. The studio doesn't seem to know what they want to do with the Spider-Man characters that they hold the rights to.
