Video: Gareth Edwards Says To "Expect The Unexpected" With STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE
At Star Wars Celebration, director Gareth Edwards showed off some teaser footage from the first standalone Star Wars movie, which is officially titled Star Wars Anthology: Rogue One. The heist plot that had been rumored for months was also finally confirmed (as well as the casting of Felicity Jones), so now we have a better idea of what to expect when we see the film in December of 2016. Or do we?
In a new video interview with Flicks And The City (via /Film), Edwards says that we should "expect the unexpected" when it comes to his new movie, calling it "realistic" and "grounded." Because of Edwards' experience shooting movies that have characters on the ground level looking up in wonder at creatures that tower over them (Monsters and Godzilla), we know he's the right guy to tell a story this way and give us that feeling that we're right there in the action along with the characters. I'm guessing this will be the most unique Star Wars movie so far as soon as it's released, and I can't wait to see how this and all of the other Anthology films provide new looks at the galaxy far, far away.
