Warner Bros. Confirms BATMAN V SUPERMAN, PAN, and THE MAN FROM UNCLE For Comic-Con Panel
Since we don't have a Marvel Studios panel to look forward to at this year's San Diego Comic-Con, all eyes have turned to Marvel's biggest rival: Warner Bros. and DC. WB has announced a partial roster of its film properties that will be showcased in the studio's panel, and the films include Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice, Pan, and The Man From U.N.C.L.E. That means star Henry Cavill will be on stage for two out of those three events, and we can only assume he'll actually say something this year instead of silently walking out, waving to the crowd, taking a selfie with Chris Hardwick, and then immediately leaving like he, Ben Affleck, and Gal Gadot did last year.
THR says that Cavill will be joined by Armie Hammer, Alicia Vikander, Elizabeth Debicki, and director Guy Ritchie to promote this summer's spy thriller, while he'll appear alongside Zack Snyder, Ben Affleck, Amy Adams, Jesse Eisenberg, Jeremy Irons, Holly Hunter, and Gal Gadot to stump for Snyder's highly-anticipated DC Comics film. Additionally, Hugh Jackman, Garret Hedlund, Levi Miller, and Joe Wright will be on hand to promote Pan.
Is that all? Well, that's all that's been officially announced, but I'd be willing to bet huge money that David Ayer and the cast of Suicide Squad will make an appearance on that stage as well, considering how much attention that movie has been getting in the press over the past few months. WB exec Sue Kroll said that the company has some "unexpected offerings that are sure to delight the crowd," which sounds like Suicide Squad to me.
The Warner Bros. panel begins at 10:30am on Saturday, July 11th.
