Warren Beatty Wants to Make a DICK TRACY Sequel
When I was growing up and Warren Beatty's Dick Tracy was released in theaters I couldn't wait to see it. Dick Tracy was seriously one of my favorite movies. I freakin' love that film! I watched it again recently, and it was still a blast!
It's been 26 years since Dick Tracy was released, and Beatty is seriously considering making a sequel, which would be amazing! I thought it was crazy that we didn't get to see any more Dick Tracy films. It's such a great character, and I love the colorful noir vibe. We've never seen anything like it. If you think about it, that movie is a one of a kind.
The news of the sequel was revealed by producer Arnon Milchan on Wednesday at CinemaCon, as he accepted the Legends of Cinema Award from Beatty.
When asked about the project later on after the ceremony, Beatty confirmed,
“I’m serious about it, but I am slow about these things.”
Milchan went on to confirm that a Dick Tracy sequel project is being discussed, and it could be completed within two years. So in two years we could actually get a Dick Tracy sequel! How freakin' awesome is that!
