Watch Director Taika Waititi Pitch a Weird Vision and Scarlet Witch Mocumentary Rom Com Film
Leave it to Thor: Ragnarok director Taika Waititi to want to make a mockumentary romantic comedy in the Marvel Universe. During a recent interview with ET, things got silly when the director was asked what Marvel character he would like to work with other than Thor in a solo film. He started of with talking about his interest in Vision and that escalated into a mocumentary rom-com involving Scarlet Witch.
Things took an even weirder turn when he added a plot twist to his pitch that Vision and Wanda aren't dating but are actually conjoined twins attached at the back!
We all know that Marvel isn't going to be diving into heavy rom-com territory like this. Waititi is just having a little fun... as he always does in his interviews. One thing is for sure, though, and that's that he would like to make another Thor film again! The director previously said:
"Yeah, people ask me, 'would you do another one' and for sure I'd do another one because it wouldn't even feel like doing a fourth Thor film, it would just feel like doing the second Ragnarok film. There’s been this reinvention in an exciting way … So, it’s exciting cuz it feels like, if Chris [Hemsworth] were to do this again it wouldn’t feel like ‘oh it’s the eighth time I’ve done Thor,’ no it will feel like the second or third time I’ve done this character. Same with Mark [Ruffalo]."
I loved Thor: Ragnarok so I hope that Waititi does get to make another Thor movie one day. What do you all think of his rom-com idea, though!?
