Watch the Hacksmith Create and Test His Prototype BATMAN Grappling Hook!
Out of all the Batman bat-gadgets in existence, I have to believe the most popular is his grappling hook. Currently, handheld grappling hooks don't exist in real life, but the Hacksmith is on his way to making them a reality! The video ends with him testing the propulsion of the device and teasing us that he has another video that will bring the ability to pull the user with enough force up to the location!
It sounds cool in theory, but something tells me getting pulled violently up to a location with only your hand attached to the device could end many unpleasant ways...
- You lose your grip on the ground and the grappling hook goes sailing up without you to the top of some inaccessible roof.
- You lose your grip on the ascent and take a hard fall.
- You dislocate your shoulder due to the force of the pull and the weight of your body.
- Your limbs flail crazily as you ascend causing you to crash into the building and fall.
- The wall you're attached to gives due to the weight and you fall.
I'll keep my hope alive for now, Hacksmith, but you have some serious work to do in that second video to prove that this will actually be viable!
