Wedding Crashers Helmer to Direct Hugh Hefner Biopic

Movie David Dobkin by Joey Paur

Warner Bros. is ready to move forward on their Hugh Hefner biopic, and they are hiring Wedding Crashers helmer David Dobkin to direct it.

The biopic will tell the story of the mogul "who founded Playboy magazine in 1953 and built the magazine into a media empire while cultivating a reputation as a swinging bachelor well into his ’80s."

The script is coming from screenwriter Peter Morgan, who also wrote Rush and Frost/Nixon for Ron Howard. The guy is a great writer, and I have no doubt he'll deliver a fantastic script.

It will be really interesting to see who they end up casting in the role. When the movie was set up at Universal a few years ago, Robert Downey Jr. and Hugh Jackman were rumored to be up for it.

Who do you think would make a good Hugh Hefner?
