WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS - Watch First 6 Minutes of the Vampire Mockumentary

What We Do in the Shadows wasn’t just the funniest film I watched at Sundance this year, it was the funniest movie I’ve seen in years! The mockumentary, written and directed by Jemaine Clement (Flight of the Conchords) and Taika Waititi (Eagle vs Shark, Boy), does for vampires what This Is Spinal Tap did for rock bands. The first six minutes of this fake vampire documentary have been released for your viewing pleasure. This and the trailer that was previously released barely scratch the surface of the laughs in this uproarious comedy that follows a group of centuries and millennia old vampires who are trying to adapt to live in the modern world. The pace ramps up later in the film, and the gags just get better and better. I’m very pleased that they are keeping those best bits tucked away for now. If you want some more info on the film be sure to check out our full review and video review from Sundance.

Jonathan Brugh, Cori Gonzalez-Macuer, Stuart Rutherford, and Jackie van Beek also star in the movie alongside Clement and Waititi. The film opens in the UK on November 21st, and will continue its festival run in the US, with screenings at AFI Fest and the Virginia Film Festival in November.

The opening six minutes from WHAT WE DO IN THE SHADOWS. Released in the UK on 21 November! Viago, Deacon, and Vladislav are three vampires living together and trying to cope with modern life; from paying rent, doing housework, and trying to get into nightclubs, they're perfectly normal - except for their immortality, fangs, and thirst for human blood.
