Wicked Cool Early Concept Art For Yondu in GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
Director James Gunn recently shared some early concept art for Yondu that was created for his Guardians of the Galaxy film. The art was created by Andrew Kim and as you can see, it's drastically different design than what Michael Rooker's character ended up looking like in the movie.
I love the design that Gunn ended up using in the movie, but this is a very cool design that shows us that they were looking at a lot of different options for the character. This design has a very tribal look to it, and he's wearing armor that looks like could be inspired by the armor the ancient Mayan warriors would wear.
