Chronicle's Michael B. Jordan is a great young actor, and he's on his way to becoming a big Hollywood star, especially after his incredible performance in Fruitvale Station. The actor's name has been recently been floating around major roles in several big time movies, including Star Wars: Episode VII and the Fantastic Four reboot.
The Wrap is now reporting that director Roland Emmerich wants him to star in Independence Day 2. The site says that the actor "has met with director Roland Emmerich and is highly regarded on the Fox lot." No official offer has been made yet, and it's not expected to happen until later on in the year, closer to the holidays.
There's still no official world on whether Will Smith will return, but they are apparently meeting with him. Then there's Jeff Goldblum and Bill Pullman who are expected to reprise their roles.I think it would be great if Jordan ended up being cast in the movie. I have no doubt he was be awesome!
