Will Smith Says He Never Met Jared Leto...Only The Joker
Will Smith did a huge interview with Beats 1 yesterday, and he talked about EVERYTHING. Seriously. In addition to his announcement of a world tour and a new album, he also talked about his recent experience as Deadshot in the upcoming Suicide Squad movie. When asked about his co-star Jared Leto, Smith says he never met him! He elaborates in the video below...
...I’ve never actually met Jared Leto. We worked together for six months and we’ve never exchanged a word outside of ‘Action!’ and ‘Cut!’ We’ve never said ‘Hello’ or ‘Good day.’ I’ve only ever spoken to him with me as Deadshot and him as The Joker. I literally have not met him yet. So, the first time I see him will be ‘Hey, Jared. What’s up?’ 'Will, hey man. How you doing? Nice to meet you.' Never. Not a single word exchanged off-camera. He was all in on the Joker.
We've already heard a lot about Leto's performance as Joker and this just piles on the hype. Was he really that bizarre to be around on set? I know Leto takes his performances pretty seriously, but to straight up shut yourself away from cast until filming takes some serious dedication!
Hopefully he lives up to the hype.
