WONDER WOMAN Hires Ex-Director of THOR: THE DARK WORLD

A couple of days ago it was reported the Michelle MacLaren stepped away from the director's chair for Warner Bros. Wonder Woman due to "creative differences." It didn't take long for the studio to fill her position, and the job goes to Patty Jenkins. You might remember her as the first director who was brought in to direct Thor: The Dark World for Marvel, but was later replaced by Alan Taylor

Jenkins is best know for her work on directing episodes of TV shows such as The Killing and Betrayal. I have no idea if she's a good fit for the project, but if she was good enough for Marvel at one point, then this might be the movie for her. Hopefully it all works out for her. There are a lot of "creative differences" issues going on these days.

Gal Gadot is set to play the Amazon princess and superhero. She will make her first appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and will also play a major part in Justice League, which will be released on November 17th 2017. The first solo Wonder Woman film will be released on June 23rd, 2017.
