Woody Harrelson Talks About His HAN SOLO Mentor Character, Says It's "Mind Blowing"

A couple of days ago we learned that Woody Harrelson had officially been cast in the role of Han Solo's mentor in Phil Lord and Chris Miller's standalone Solo film. For the first time since his casting, Harrelson talks about his character with Mashable, saying:

“I’m a mentor to Han, but I’m also a bit of a criminal. I don’t think I’ll have a lot of make-up or anything. We’ll see how that look develops. I’m meeting with those guys tomorrow, the hair and make-up and stunts and everything. We’ll just have a little discussion about that.”

A bit of a criminal, huh? Sounds like the kind of guy that Han would be hanging out with. I'm excited about learning more about his character and seeing how he'll turn out in the movie. In a separate interview with Collider he said:

“It’s mind-blowing. I can’t really…you know, I never would’ve imagined that I’d get this opportunity so I’m really pumped about it. I really like those directors, I think they’re really great. You know let’s face it, almost any movie if the director’s great then the movie has a shot, but if they’re not obviously you’ve got very little chance of a good movie. I just feel great to be a part of that. What a cool thing.”

Of course, he wouldn't go into any details. All he said was:

“I don’t think the Force is allowing me to talk about this. They want me to keep pretty mum so I better not say too much about it. They’re pretty top secret about the script and the story… It’ll be cool to be mentoring Han Solo, that will be cool.”

Harrelson Joins actors Alden Ehrenreich (Han Solo), Donald Glover (Lando Calrissian), and Emilia Clarke in the adventure. I can't wait to see what Han Solo story they will tell and what other characters will be involved.
