X-MEN: APOCALYPSE Super Bowl Spot Features Apocalyptic Destruction

"Everything they've built will fall!"

Damn! We've seen a lot of impressive trailers tonight during the Super Bowl for some of the most anticipated films coming out this year, and the streak continues with Bryan Singer's X-Men: Apocalypse. As you'll see in the trailer, this movie promises to be the biggest and most epic X-Men movie yet. This short spot is packed to the brim with chaotic mayhem and beautiful destructive imagery.

Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.

Returning cast members also include Nicholas Hoult as Beast, Evan Peters as Quicksilver, Lucas Till as Havok, Rose Byrne as Moira MacTaggert, and reportedly Hugh Jackman as Wolverine. The film will also feature newcomers Kodi Smit-McPhee as Nightcrawler, Lana Condor as Jubilee, Ben Hardy as Angel, Olivia Munn as Psylocke, and Oscar Isaac as Apocalypse.

The movie hits theaters on May 27th, 2016.
