Zack Snyder Will Direct THE LAST PHOTOGRAPH Before JUSTICE LEAGUE 2, Which Comes Out After THE BATMAN

Director Zack Snyder is finally going to take a break from making DC films to focus on a passion project of his called The Last Photograph. He is set to direct this film before he gets to work on Justice League 2

THR reports that Justice League 2 has been pushed back so that Ben Affleck's The Batman can be released before it. This will give Snyder the time he needs to make his other movie, which I imagine would be refreshing for him since he's been working on nothing but DC films since The Man of Steel.

Snyder started developing The Last Photograph in the mid-2000s, after he finished 300. The script for the film was written by Kurt Johnstad (300, 300: Rise of an Empire). The story "centers on a war correspondent in Afghanistan who is the only one to survive an attack on a group of Americans. When a special ops soldier in search of a family member shows up, the two team up, with the correspondent hoping to score the story of his life."

There's no information on who will star in the film at this time, but back in 2011 Christian Bale and Sean Penn were attached to star. The movie will most likely be set up at Warner Bros. since that where Snyder has a first look deal.

I'm actually happy to hear that Snyder is going to be directing a film that doesn't involve superheroes or comic books. This sounds like a solid project, and I'm looking forward to seeing what he does with it.
