1981 Behind-The-Scenes Documentary For RAIDERS OF THE LOST ARK
After watching Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny, I went back to rewatch the other Indiana Jones films that were made, and they are just incredibly well-made adventure films! Steven Spielberg and George Lucas really created something special with this franchise, and the road to getting the franchise up and running was an interesting one!
I’ve got an old 1981 behind-the-scenes documentary here for you to watch that you may or may not have seen that takes you through the development of the movie that started it all, Raiders of the Lost Ark.
The TV movie documentary was an official Lucasfilm production and it was directed by Phillip Schuman and narrated by Scott Beach. It also features interviews with Spielberg, Lucas, Harrison Ford, and more. It’s filled with lots of footage from the set of Spielberg directing, and early footage from the film.
Watching this is so cool, it’s like taking a trip back in time and seeing how one of the great adventure films of all time was created. I enjoyed the hell out of this!
