1982 Behind-The-Scenes "Making of" Video For Steven Spielberg's POLTERGEIST
Steven Spielberg and Tobe Hooper’s classic 80s film Poltergeist is one of my all-time favorite horror films. It’s just so damn good, and it delivers some awesome thrills and chills. We previously talked about the making of the film in great detail on our Secret Level podcast, but I’ve got a great video that you’ve got to check out!
This is a 1982 behind-the-scenes short documentary on the making of the suburban ghost story. The doc was directed by the film's producer, Frank Marshall, and it offers a glimpse at what it was like for everyone involved with the film while shooting it. I love seeing how they shot some of those awesome practical special effects scenes back in the day!
It’s funny because it’s believed by many that Spielberg was the real director of the film, and as you’ll see in this video, there’s definitely more footage of Spielberg directing than Hooper. There are also interviews with members of the cast. Anyway, I hope you enjoy this!
