5 New Extended Clips and 'Cherry Bomb' Music Video for THE RUNAWAYS

Here's 6 Extended Clips for writer-director Floria Sigismondi's biopic of The Runaways, which Paramount just released. The film stars Kristen Stewart as Joan Jett and Dakota Fanning as Cherie Currie, and follows the band's formation and overnight success as the first arena filling all-girl rock-band.

5 of the clips are new, but I've included the clip we posted back in January of Joan and Cheri meeting for the first time through the producer and co-founder of the band Kim Fowley -- played brilliantly by Michael Shannon -- and have arranged the clips in chronological order for your viewing pleasure. Underneath those, is the official music video for the cast recording of The Runways hit song, "Cherry Bomb," which is cut to the band performing the song, and other clips from the movie.

The Runaways hits theaters next Friday, March 19, 2010.

Synopsis:

The movie chronicles THE RUNAWAYS from 1975 - 1977; formed by teenage girls living near Hollywood, CA., and heavily manipulated by their manager Kim Fowley as 'jailbait rock' (all the girls were 16 or younger when the band recorded their first album). The band ultimately succeeds on their own merits as musicians, becoming the first all-girl rock-band to ever break into the world of arena-filling hard rock acts.
