Rian Johnson Wants to Direct a DOCTOR WHO Episode!

It seems like BBC's Doctor Who series could have their pick of any talented director working today if they wanted. Hell, the directors are throwing themselves at them! Just last week Peter Jackson said he would direct one, and now we've learned that Looper director Rian Johnson wants to take one on as well! He's such a big fan and so excited about the possibility of doing it that he'd "kill" to try.

Here's what the director said in a recent recent Reddit Ask Me Anything session:

But what I'd really kill to try, although it would be terrifying because I'm such a big fan of it? Doctor Who.

Hell yeah! Johnson's filmmaking style would fit perfectly with Steven Moffat's interpretation of the Time Lord. Not only would I want to see Johnson direct it, but I'd want to see him write the episode as well. There's no doubt in my mind it would be one of the greatest episodes of the series.

He's no stranger to TV either, he also directed an episode of Breaking Bad as well as Terriers. Someone please make this happen! Episodes directed by Jackson and Johnson would be epic!

Would you like to see Johnson take on Doctor Who?
