3 New Supergirl Clips Reveal Superman and Lobo’s First Appearances in the DC Universe
Warner Bros. has released three new clips from Supergirl, giving fans an exciting new look at the next chapter of the DC Universe.
The footage offers a closer look at Kara Zor-El’s journey, including her first on-screen meeting with Superman, the introduction of Jason Momoa’s long-awaited Lobo, and a glimpse at the larger cosmic adventure waiting for her beyond Earth.
One of the new scenes picks up shortly after Kara arrives on Earth with Krypto. It finally delivers the first interaction between Kara and her famous cousin, Superman, played by David Corenswet.
While fans might expect an emotional family reunion, the moment comes with an amusing complication. Superman hasn’t learned Kryptonian yet, making communication between the two a little awkward.
As the pair head toward the Fortress of Solitude, Kara immediately questions his choice of attire, asking why he’s dressed “in his underwear.” Superman brushes past the fashion critique and explains that her powers should begin emerging very soon now that she’s on Earth.
The second clip shines the spotlight on one of the movie’s most anticipated characters, Lobo. Fans have been eager to see Jason Momoa step into the role of the infamous intergalactic bounty hunter, and this preview finally offers another taste of what he’ll bring to the character.
The scene begins with Kara describing Lobo as “an immortal with a god complex” who “killed off his entire planet.” From there, the footage follows Lobo as he approaches what appears to be a bar while searching for someone specific. It’s a brief sequence, but it captures the attitude and presence fans would expect from the Main Man.
The third clip broadens the scope of the film and puts the focus back on Kara’s larger mission. It hints at the strange worlds, colorful characters, and dangerous situations she’ll encounter as she travels across the galaxy.
While the footage doesn’t reveal major plot details, it does reinforce the idea that Supergirl will embrace the cosmic side of DC in a big way.
Directed by Craig Gillespie, Supergirl stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El and continues building on the foundation established by Superman. Alongside Alcock, the film also features Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, Momoa, and Corenswet.
Supergirl is set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026.
