A Lost Deleted Scene From David Lynch's DUNE Has Resurfaced
While audiences have been enjoying Denis Villeneuve’s Dune: Part Two, a lost deleted scene from David Lynch’s classic 1984 adaptation of Frank Herbert’s sci-fi novel has resurfaced.
The deleted scene comes to us thanks to the author of A Masterpiece in Disarray: David Lynch’s Dune, An Oral History, Max Evry. He acquired the never-before-seen deleted scene during the conversations he had with actress Molly Wryn.
Wryn played Harah in the film, whose role was cut back in the final version of Dune. The actress had the footage this whole time, and it sees her character explaining to Lady Jessica why the Fremen were scared of her super enlightened daughter Alia.
