A New FALLOUT Season 2 Clip Takes Us Back to the Mojave Wasteland

As we wait for Fallout Season 2 to premiere, Prime Video just shared a fresh look at what awaits when the story heads into one of the most iconic locations in the franchise. We are two weeks out from the show’s return, and fans at Brazil’s CCXP were treated to a scene that instantly ignited excitement for the journey into New Vegas.

The clip follows Ella Purnell’s Lucy McClain and her loyal companion Dogmeat as they attempt to save Walton Goggins’ Ghoul from a hanging. Rather than blasting her way through trouble, Lucy makes an attempt at a peaceful resolution by confessing the original plan to cash in Ghoul’s bounty and then turn the tables on his captors.

She owns up to it because she simply wants her reluctant ally back and hopes everyone can walk away without more violence. Ghoul, unsurprisingly, prefers the more traditional wasteland method of shooting first, and the raiders holding him are just waiting to see how it all unravels.

One detail that stood out is the location. The entire moment unfolds in Novac, which is a memorable stop along Highway 05 that players explored in Fallout: New Vegas. Even cooler, Lucy is perched inside Dinky the T Rex, the beloved roadside dinosaur statue that doubles as a sniper’s nest.

Anyone who spent time in the Mojave remembers how often it was used in shootouts including by First Recon snipers Manny Vargas and Craig Boone. Seeing it again raises questions about how Novac has changed since the game’s events.

As with the various endings of the game, the town’s history might shift depending on who is recounting it, and the show seems ready to play with that idea.

Prime Video’s wasteland adventure picks up again soon. Season two of Fallout begins its weekly eight episode run on December 17.
