A QUIET PLACE: DAY ONE Footage Reaction Video - CinemaCon 2023
John Krasinski came out on stage during Paramount Pictures’ big CinemaCon presentation to debut the first footage from his upcoming A Quite Place prequel film, A Quiet Place: Day One! The footage offers a terrifying look at how the world fell into chaos when these horrific monstrous alien creatures crash landed on Earth. The story is set in New York City, the loudest city in the world.
Krasinski said: “We follow Lupita Nyong’o’s character as she navigates the horrific first moments of the alien invasion in the loudest city of the world, New York City.” In the footage, we see Nyong’o witness the nightmarish arrival of the aliens and roam the streets of Manhattan as the creatures attack anyone who makes a sound. As you might expect, there are lots of explosions, screaming, and intense footage of people attempting to hide from the monsters, but few survive. Check out the footage reaction video here!
The movie comes from the director of Pig,, Michael Sarnoski. The story is based on an original idea by John Krasinski. The movie also stars Joseph Quinn, the actor who played Eddie Munson in Stranger Things, Djimon Hounsou is reprising his role from A Quiet Place Part II, and Alex Wolff is seen in the trailer running in fear,
The studio is hoping to build on and expand the franchise with it. They want to be making these Quiet Place movies for years to come. Krasinski and Emily Blunt aren’t expected to appear in this film, though. This is going to tell the story of another group of people.
Michael Bay, Andrew Form and Brad Fuller will produce via Platinum Dunes alongside Krasinski and Allyson Seeger, who serves as executive producer.
The film is set to be released on March 8th, 2024.
