A Reboot of THE OFFICE Is in Development With U.S. Series Creator Greg Daniels

It’s being reported that a reboot of The Office is in development and the project is being led by the creator of the U.S. adaptation of the series, Greg Daniels.

The news comes from Puck, saying the Daniels is “set to do a reboot of The Office.” This project is apparently one of many that will make up a “firehose of announcements of projects and castings” once the strikes are officially over.

There are no other details to share, and there’s no word on if any members of the original cast will return and be involved with the comedy series. The news comes over a decade after the original series came to an end.

The Office has such a huge fanbase, and the series is so freakin’ funny. It seems like it would be hard to capture that comedic magic again. It was like lightning in a bottle, and I’m not sure if they’ll be able to pull it off again for the reboot. We’ll just have to wait and see.

What do you think about The Office getting a reboot? Do you think they will be able to deliver an equally funny show?
