Actor In Post-Credits Scene of ANT-MAN Discusses It

SPOILERS ahead for anyone who hasn’t seen the post-credits scene from Ant-Man.

After the credits are finished rolling on Ant-Man, fans are treated to a scene featuring Steve Rogers (Chris Evans), Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), and Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan), whose arm is trapped in some kind of vise. This has been confirmed to be an actual scene from Captain America: Civil War, and there’s more to it than meets the eye.

While talking to BuzzFeed, Stan discussed the sequence:

“I think [what Bucky was caught in was] more of a vise. But it would never happen at his own hand, by his own doing. In terms of that scene in Ant-Man, I’ve seen some of the ideas people have about it and I would just say that whatever you’re seeing on the surface, it’s not as obvious as that. There might be a whole lot more to the scene. I would say someone would probably want to put him in a vise.”

It sounds to me like Wilson and Rogers may have come across Stan already trapped in the vise. The big question is, who put him there? It could be any one of several people, including Iron Man, Black Panther, Crossbones, and Baron Zemo. Those are the obvious choices, but it really could be anyone in the MCU. We’ll all find out in time. The movie will be released on May 6th, 2016.
