Adam McKay Takes His Robert Pattinson Serial Killer Film AVERAGE HEIGHT, AVERAGE BUILD To Netflix
Adam McKay (Don't Look Up, The Big Short, Step Brothers, and Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy) is teaming up with Netflix again for his recently announced serial killer comedy film project titled Average Height, Average Build. Robert Pattinson (The Batman) is set to star in the film alongside Amy Adams, Robert Downey Jr., Forest Whitaker, and Danielle Deadwyler.
Pattinson plays a serial killer in the film, “who gets into politics in an effort to change the laws to be more, well, murder-friendly." His character is looking “to leverage American politicians to make murder easier, as well as Amy Adams as the state lobbyist that forms a unique connection with the murderer.”
McKay previously directed the film Don’t Look Up for the streaming service, and he obviously has a good working relationship with them. The filmmaker has been looking for a studio to partner with to make this new movie of his, and I imagine Netflix was just willing to give him the budget and the creative freedom to make the film he wants.
This sounds like a fascinating project, and McKay will write, direct, and produce the movie.
