Adam Sandler Is Leo the Lizard in Trailer for Netflix's Animated Musical LEO
Netflix has released an amusing teaser trailer for its coming of age animated musical comedy Leo. The film comes from Adam Sandler’s Happy Madison productions ,and Sandler takes on the lead role of Leo the Lizard. It’s about the last year of elementary school through the eyes of Leo, who is a class pet. It looks like this will be a funny and enjoyable flick!
In the film, “Jaded 74-year-old lizard Leo (Sandler) has been stuck in the same Florida classroom for decades with his terrarium-mate turtle (Bill Burr). When he learns he only has one year left to live, he plans to escape to experience life on the outside but instead gets caught up in the problems of his anxious students — including an impossibly mean substitute teacher. It ends up being the strangest but most rewarding bucket list ever…”
The film was co-written and co-directed by comedian Robert Smigel (SNL) along with his fellow SNL animators Robert Marianetti and David Wachtenheim.
The voice cast also includes Cecily Strong, Jason Alexander, Sadie Sandler, Sunny Sandler, Rob Schneider, Jo Koy, Jackie Sandler, Heidi Gardner, Robert Smigel, Nick Swardson, Stephanie Hsu, and Nicholas Turturro.
