Adam Savage Takes The Ecto-1 From GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE For a Ride
Adam Savage had the opportunity to visit the set of the upcoming movie Ghostbusters: Afterlife to watch director Jason Reitman and his creative team bring this next chapter of the Ghostbusters franchise to life.
While he was there, they not only let him take a look under the hood of the Ecto-1 car, they let him take it for a ride! The Ecto-1 is an iconic car and as you’ll see, the 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Futura Duplex limo-style endloader combination car has seen better days. But, Savage has a blast driving it around! Who wouldn’t!?
I already had the opportunity to watch Ghostbusters: Afterlife at CinemaCon and I love the movie! I think fans of the franchise are going to love it because it’s 100% made for the fans. You can watch our reaction video for the film here.
In the film, Egon Spangler’s family moves to a small town where they learn about their grandfather’s legacy and that he used to catch ghosts for a living. I love the story of a couple of kids slowly discovering something incredible about their grandpa and his legacy.
The synopsis for the next chapter in the Ghostbusters universe reads, “A single mom and her two kids arrive in a small town, they begin to discover their connection to the original ghostbusters and the secret legacy their grandfather left behind.”
The film was directed by Jason Reitman from a script he wrote with Gil Kenan. The movie stars Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, Mckenna Grace, and Paul Rudd. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Ernie Hudson, and Sigourney Weaver are also said to be returning.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife will be released in theaters on November 19th, 2021.
