Adam Wingard Casts Adria Arjona To Star in His Action Horror Thriller ONSLAUGHT
Godzilla x Kong director Adam Wingard is in the process of developing a new action thriller titled Onslaught and he is casting Hit Man actress Adria Arjona to star in the film.
The project is set up at A24 and it’s described as being “a gonzo action horror thriller.” The movie is also more in line with Wingard’s earlier movies, like The Guest and You’re Next.
According to the report, “Arjona will play a mother who falls back on a particular set of skills in order to protect her loved ones after she runs afoul of a threat that has escaped a secret military base.”
It’s good to see Wingard take a step back and make a smaller more intimate film. That’s where he told his best stories. Once he got into that big-budget filmmaking he lost that ability to tell a strong story.
Wingard and Barrett are writing the new project and the film is set to go into production in New Mexico later this year.
