AHSOKA Gets a Mid-Season Trailer and Character Posters with Anakin Skywalker, Young Ahsoka, and Captain Rex
Lucasfilm has released a new mid-season and three character posters for Star Wars: Ahsoka. The last episode that was released, "Shadow Warrior," was fantastic! It was easily the best episode so far as we watch Ahsoka face off with Anakin Skywalker/Darth Vader. It’s at this point she has to complete her training and overcome the issues that she’s been going through.
This marks the first time that the characters have appeared onscreen together in live action after having formed a close relationship in the animated series, The Clone Wars. The series also features young Askoka and Captain Rex. We’ve got posters of those three characters below for you to check out.
I really enjoyed this last episode, and I understand why some people think things are moving a little slower than expected. When talking about that Episode 4 director Peter Ramsey shared some insights into showrunner Dave Filoni's approach to storytelling telling IGN:
"From the start, he really made it kind of clear he was after a little more 0 he was really interested in focusing on the characters. He wanted the pace to be a little different. People say 'it's slower, it's slower.' Well, part of that is the desire for a little more mood, slightly different nuance to it versus Mando, which is kind of like spaghetti western, kind of like ‘wham, bam, thank you ma'am.’ Dave wanted a slightly different feeling."
The series is set after the fall of the Empire, Ahsoka follows the former Jedi Knight Ahsoka Tano as she investigates an emerging threat to a vulnerable galaxy.
Rosario Dawson stars as Ahsoka and she’s joined by Natasha Liu Bordizzo as Sabine Wren, Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Hera Syndulla, the late Ray Stevenson as Baylan Skoll, Ivanna Sakhno as Shin Hati, Diana Lee Inosanto as Morgan Elsbeth, David Tennant as Huyang, Lars Mikkelsen as Grand Admiral Thrawn, and Eman Esfandi appearing as Ezra Bridger.
Ahsoka was written by Dave Filoni, who executive produces alongside Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Colin Wilson, and Carrie Beck. Directors include Filoni, Steph Green, Peter Ramsey, Jennifer Getzinger, Geeta Vasant Patel, and Rick Famuyiwa.
