AHSOKA Season 2 Star Ivanna Sakhno Teases Shin Hati’s Reunion with Baylan Skoll

Ivanna Sakhno, who plays Shin Hati in Ahsoka, has shared an exciting update for fans waiting on Season 2 of the Star Wars series.

At the end of the first season, Shin was left stranded on Peridea after her mentor Baylan Skoll abandoned her. With the tragic passing of Baylan actor Ray Stevenson, it was revealed during Star Wars Celebration 2025 that Game of Thrones actor Rory McCann would be taking on the role moving forward.

Sakhno recently spoke with The Direct about the ongoing production and her experience working with McCann.

"We're in the middle of filming right now. I'm reporting to you from London, so I... get to see Rory nearly daily at the moment, and he has been amazing to work with.

“I will have his work speak for itself, but he is definitely a gift for us to have. And there couldn't have been anyone better to take on this role."

This strongly hints that Shin Hati will reunite with Baylan in the upcoming season, though Lucasfilm is still keeping story details tightly under wraps.

Sakhno alsopreviously gave another small tease about what fans can expect, saying:

"You know, there's absolutely nothing that I can speak on at the moment, and I wish I could share with you something at least, because it's such an exciting time for us to be back together, and we're currently in the middle of filming it.

“All I can say is that it is bigger and even more in-depth, and I'm really excited for people to see it. It means the world."

While the story is still a mystery, we already know a few things about what’s coming. Hayden Christensen is confirmed to return as Anakin Skywalker, Admiral Ackbar is set to go up against Grand Admiral Thrawn, and those who attended Celebration were treated to a first look behind closed doors teasing what’s coming.

Ahsoka Season 2 doesn’t have a release date yet, but with filming underway and the cast hyping up the scale of the series, it sounds like fans are in for another exciting chapter of the story.
