Alan Tudyk Will Reprise His Role as The Droid K-2SO in The STAR WARS: ROGUE ONE Prequel Series
When it was first announced that Star Wars: Rogue One was getting a live-action prequel series that focuses on Diego Luna’s character Cassian Andor, I was really hoping that Alan Tudyk would be back to reprise his role as the droid, K-2SO.
Well, Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy officially confirmed Tudyk will return! When previously talking about the series, before it was confirmed that he would be in it, Tudyk said:
"It's a prequel, so it is a prequel. I love those guys, I do. I love those guys. Diego Luna is one of my favorite people on the planet. I know what they're doing, and it's very exciting. We talked about it."
All we know about the series right now is that it will follow “the adventures of rebel spy Cassian Andor during the formative years of the Rebellion and prior to the events of Rogue One… The rousing spy thriller will explore tales filled with espionage and daring missions to restore hope to a galaxy in the grip of a ruthless Empire.”
Luna previously said, “Going back to the Star Wars universe is very special for me. I have so many memories of the great work we did together and the relationships I made throughout the journey. We have a fantastic adventure ahead of us, and this new exciting format will give us the chance to explore this character more deeply.”
Stephen Schiff is the showrunner. on the show and it will premiere on the upcoming Disney+ streaming service.
Are you happy to learn that Tudyk will be back as K-2SO?
