Alex Winter Offers More Hopeful News on BILL & TED FACE THE MUSIC
Fans of the Bill and Ted films can breathe a collective sigh of relief, kind of. As you know, the progression of Bill and Ted Face the Music has been a rollercoaster of extreme highs and lows. Whenever we feel like we are making progress someone involved in the project comes out to put on the breaks and rain all over our happiness.
The latest naysayer seemed to be the one and only Keanu Reeves. Reeves came out and said that he didn’t know if it was a reality. And I mean, when John Wick says something, who are we to second guess it? The one person who can is Bill S. Preston Esq. himself, Alex Winter. He recently said:
“We’re still in pre-production. It’s still the same. Early 2019 is still the same. I’m still being told to hold those dates. That’s all I know.
He went on to explain:
"What I keep telling everyone is I don’t trust a movie as being made, frankly, until, literally, I’m watching it on cable two years after it’s done. Not even while we’re shooting it. To be fair to Reeves, his point is just anything can go wrong at any point. We made the first movie and it was shelved for a year and a half. We were like it’s done, never going to come out, no one’s ever going to see it. It’s a pain in the ass. It’s not ever not a pain in the ass. Nothing has changed in a radical way. If it is, that’ll be news."
There is always a lot of mire that movies have to go through before they make it to the public. I hope they can weather the storm and get this movie out to us. I don’t care what anyone says, I can’t wait for this to happen. What are your thoughts on Face the Music? Do you think it will happen or do you think stupid people in Hollywood will ruin it for everyone?
