All the Ghosts Are Unleashed in Final Trailer for GHOSTBUSTERS: AFTERLIFE
Sony Pictures has released the final trailer for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire! The trailer offers lots of new footage and new insight into the story as every ghost that the Ghostbusters have ever caught is unleashed on New York City. This obviously harkens back to the first film, when their containment unit is shut off and has a meltdown. The circumstances are entirely different, though.
There’s a lot of excitement for this film among fans and it looks like director Gil Kenan has made a great film that will be a ton of fun to watch! There was also an international trailer released recently that you should watch if you haven’t yet! You can watch that here.
In the story, New York City finds itself freezing over due to an ancient artifact that unleashes an evil force! “The Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.”
Ghostbusters: Afterlife director and co-writer Jason Reitman serves as writer and executive producer on the new film. The movie also stars Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, comedian James Acaster, and Emily Alyn Lind have joined the cast! They join returning cast members Paul Rudd, Carrie Coon, Finn Wolfhard, and Mckenna Grace. Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd and Ernie Hudson are also back in action with Annie Potts as Janine Melnitz suiting up for some ghost-busting action.
The film is scheduled to be released on March 29th, 2024.
