Amy Pascal and David Heyman in Talks to Shape the Future of JAMES BOND at Amazon MGM

Big moves may be happening behind the scenes at Amazon MGM Studios, and if you're a Bond fan, this one’s worth paying attention to.

Word is, Amy Pascal and David Heyman are in serious talks to take the reins of the James Bond franchise—once Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson officially pass the torch.

The report says: “We’re hearing that there’s a there there to Amy Pascal and David Heyman being in talks with Amazon MGM Studios to steer the Bond franchise once the hand-off is finalized with Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson.”

And if this pairing pans out, it’s a major power combo.

Amy Pascal, whose history with Bond goes back to her Sony days, helped steer the franchise through some of its most successful entries: Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace, Spectre, and Skyfall, the latter pulling in $1.1 billion and still holding the crown as the highest-grossing Bond film of all time.

Since stepping down as Sony Motion Pictures Chief, Pascal has continued to rack up hits, producing both the Spider-Verse animated films and the Tom Holland-led Spider-Man trilogy with Marvel Studios.

Then there’s David Heyman, whose name is practically synonymous with the Harry Potter film universe. He launched the franchise that became a generation-defining phenomenon and is now being reimagined as an HBO series.

Beyond wizarding worlds, Heyman has also produced prestige fare like Gravity, and the Paddington films.

These two producer know how to handle global franchises and prestige projects. So, it's easy to see why Amazon MGM is looking to bring them in th elead the charge on Bond.

Amazon’s immediate goal is to get a new Bond movie off the ground before diving into any spin-off series or shared universe plans.

Bond’s future is wide open, and if Pascal and Heyman do come aboard, the iconic spy could be heading into another exciting era of 007 projects!
