Andy Serkis May Be in THE BATMAN

We still don’t know a lot about Matt Reeves’ The Batman, but there’s a new rumor about casting. Batman on Film has reportedly received information that Andy Serkis is up for a role in the film and that the role will not be a motion captured one.

Now, this is nothing more than a rumor, but I wouldn’t mind seeing Serkis in the film. He’s a brilliant actor! Of course, there’s only speculation on who he would play with some thinking the villain (and Serkis’ role) will be the Penguin.

I’ll admit I’m not the biggest fan of the Penguin but would rather see someone like the Mad Hatter or maybe even Hugo Strange. Just someone new and different would be refreshing. Batman has a huge rogues gallery, so let’s take advantage. Of course, if the reports from a couple weeks ago are true about who the villains will be, I think Serkis is most likely going to be the Penguin.

As always, take this rumor with a huge serving of salt, but let us know who you’d like to see Serkis portray in the film if he is indeed in it.
