Anne Hathaway Cast in David Lowery's Epic Pop Music Film Project MOTHER MARY
Director David Lowery has set up his next film project with A24. It’s titled Mother Mary and Anne Hathaway (The Dark Knight Rises) and Michaela Coel (I May Destroy You) are set to star.
Lowery recently directed Peter Pan & Wendy for Disney, but he also helmed films such as Green Knight, Pete’s Dragon, and A Ghost Story. He’s a great filmmaker and storyteller and I have no doubt that this next project of his is going to be interesting.
Lowery will direct the film from a script he wrote and the story will be an “epic pop melodrama following a fictional musician (Hathaway) and her relationship with an iconic fashion designer (Coel).”
Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX will write and produce original songs for the film, with an original score composed by Daniel Hart.
The is the third collaboration between A24 and David Lowery and it will be filmed in Germany.
