ANT-MAN's Peyton Reed Directed an Episode of THE MANDALORIAN Season 2, and Robert Rodriguez Confirms His Involvement
Ant-Man and Ant-Man and The Wasp director Peyton Reed recently announced on Star Wars Day that he is directing an episode of Lucasfilm’s The Mandalorian Season 2! He shared a photo on his Twitter feed of The Mando’s helmet sitting on his director’s chair. The image came with the caption, #MayThe4thBeWithYou.
Reed is a solid director. I’ve enjoyed his Ant-Man films, and with Jon Favreau writing the series and Dave Filoni heavily involved with the creative process, I think he will end up giving us a great episode of The Mandalorian.
The other directors for The Mandalorian Season 2 include Jon Favreau, who is confirmed to direct at least one episode of Season 2. It was also previously reported that Carl Weathers would direct an episode, and it’s been said that Bryce Dallas Howard returned to direct as well. I’m pretty confident that Dave Filoni will be back to direct as well. Robert Rodriguez also confirmed recently that he directed an episode. We’ve heard in the past from reports that he was a director on Season 2, but now we have confirmation:
This looks like an incredibly fun project for any director to be a part of! I recently watched the first episode of that behind-the-scenes Mandalorian docuseries, and it seems like a real treat and privilege to be on the set of the series.
The series is set to premiere later this fall.
