Armie Hammer's Batman Cowl From George Miller's Unmade JUSTICE LEAGUE MORTAL Film Revealed

As you know, Mad Max filmmaker George Miller was developing a Justice League film for Warner Bros. and DC titled Justice League Mortal. Armie Hammer was cast in the role of Batman and today we have a first look at the Batman cowl he would have worn.

The image comes from Ryan Unicomb, who is currently developing a documentary detailing the unmade project. The cowl seems to be heavily inspired by artist Alex Ross' vision of the Dark Knight, which I love. It’s a shame that this movie never got made. I would have loved to see it. The design is much different looking than the early concept art we’ve seen.

When previously talking about the Batsuit, Hammer revealed:

“Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, they built a whole functioning suit that had hydraulics and worked and had microphones all through the suit so I could hear everything happening around m. 100 percent function because we had $300 million to do it, kinda like the budget we had on the movie"

Hammer also previously shared that his Batman would have found himself in a fight with Superman and Wonder Woman:

"Superman and Wonder Woman have or had the most brutal fight with each other that you have ever seen. And I mean it would be like when two superheroes actually fight. Like, they destroy multiple cities like by accident 'cause they're just like, they don't even see anything else other than like trying to destroy the other person in front of them and it was incredible. At one point they destroy an aircraft carrier by accident and then also the death count was going to be extremely high."

The movie would have also starred Megan Gale as Wonder Woman, Adam Brody as Flash, Common as Green Lantern, Santiago Cabrera as Aquaman, Hugh Keays-Byrne as Martian Manhunter, Jay Baruchel as Maxwell Lord, and Teresa Palmer as Talia al Ghul.

Just in case you're curious about this film and the story it would have told, you can read a breakdown of the script here, or watch a live-read of it here.
