Arnim Zola is Rumored To Appear in Marvel's THE FALCON AND THE WINTER SOLDIER
We’ve got another rumor regarding Marvel’s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier brought to us by Marvel scooper Charles Murphy. While the information comes from his “trusted sources,” this information is just a rumor as Marvel hasn’t confirmed it.
According to the report, the Captain America character Arnim Zola will make an appearance in the Disney+ series. The character was played by Toby Jones in the films.
If this rumor is true, it will be interesting to see how the character ends up being utilized. The last we saw of him was in Captain America: The Winter Soldier where we learned that he uploaded his consciousness into a Hydra computer system to continue to do his work despite dying from a fatal illness.
While the computer that his brain was uploaded onto was destroyed in The Winter Solider, I guess there are ways his consciousness could have continued on. Maybe before the computer was destroyed it was uploaded into the cloud?
The report goes on to say that this character might not actually be Arnim Zola, though. They suggest it could be his daughter, Jet Zola. She is “a skilled combatant in the ways of Tachyon Fu, and possesses various superhuman senses. Her "bare skin can read the future," allowing her to stay a step ahead of her opponents. She is also able to "smell, hear, and taste things one hundred miles away." When using any one of her senses at "Omni-level" however, - a virtually infinite degree - all her other senses turn off.”
According to a previous report, the Falcon (Anthony Mackie) and Winter Soldier (Sabastian Stan) might end up having to deal with some sort of massive viral threat. The report speculates that this viral threat could come from Virus X, the Madbomb, or something else that will put the population in grave danger. It’s also been rumored that the "crux of what that show’s going to be” is that “the government doesn’t want Sam Wilson to be Captain America.” That’s probably how the character U.S. Agent comes into play.
The series will be directed by Kari Skogland, and Emily VanCamp is returning as Sharon Carter/Agent 13 and Daniel Bruhl's Baron Zemo will also be back in full force. John Wick creator Derek Kolstad and Empire’s Malcolm Spellman are writing the scripts for the series.
The Falcon and The Winter Soldier will begin airing on Disney+ in the fall of 2020.
