AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Plot Leak Teases Avengers vs. X-Men, Doctor Doom’s Mission, and a Multiversal War
A new Avengers: Doomsday plot leak has surfaced, and if there’s any truth to it, Marvel Studios could be setting up one of the most ambitious crossover events in comic book movie history.
The leak, which comes from The Cosmic Circus and later appeared on r/MarvelStudiosSpoilers, outlines a storyline featuring the Final Incursion, a battle between the Avengers and the X-Men, and Doctor Doom’s war against the TVA.
Now, it’s important to take leaks like this with a grain of salt, but there are elements here that seem plausible, especially with the Russo Brothers at the helm. Whether it’s an elaborate piece of fan fiction or an early look at Marvel’s next big event, it’s worth digging into the details.
According to the leak, the movie will focus on the Final Incursion, where Earth-616 collides with a "divergent" X-Men universe, described as something similar to Daredevil: Born Again’s approach to the Netflix series.
The idea is that this will pick up where X-Men: Days of Future Past left off, with Deadpool and Wolverine caught in the chaos.
Monica Rambeau, who was last seen trapped in an alternate reality at the end of The Marvels, will reportedly play a key role. Her presence in this alternate world is said to be the catalyst that draws the two universes together.
Both realities will mistakenly believe the other is invading, leading to an all-out war: Avengers vs. X-Men. This reportedly ties into the post-credits scene of Captain America: Brave New World, where The Leader plants the idea of otherworldly invaders in Sam Wilson’s mind.
One of the most exciting aspects? Hulk vs. Wolverine is supposedly happening, along with a team-up between the X-Men and the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants. Meanwhile, back on Earth-616, Captain Marvel, Shang-Chi, Hulk, and Wong are working to bring Monica home, while Ms. Marvel assembles her own team of young heroes.
The Fantastic Four are still on their own Earth when Avengers: Doomsday begins, raising the question of when and how they’ll join the MCU’s main timeline.
As for Spider-Man, he apparently wants nothing to do with the conflict but gets dragged in anyway. The leak also claims that he’ll don the Symbiote suit, which is described as a variation of his final No Way Home costume, but in black and white.
Doctor Doom is set to play a major role in the film, with the leak suggesting that Victor Von Doom despises Kang and the TVA, blaming them for the chaos unfolding in the MCU. His vendetta against the TVA will lead to a Multiversal War within the organization, setting up Avengers: Doomsday’s climactic battle. Doctor Strange and Clea will be part of Doctor Doom's story.
Loki is once again described as the McGuffin, though what that means for his fate after Loki Season 2 remains to be seen.
I should point out that a lot of characters talked about here have not been officially confirmed for Doomsday… yet. Marvel has teased that more casting announcements are coming, and anything could happen!
