AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Reportedly Includes Important Scenes Between Loki and Steve Rogers
A new Avengers: Doomsday rumor teases a potential character pairing that fans might really enjoy if true. Steve Rogers and Loki reportedly may share some meaningful screen time in the upcoming sequel.
The rumor comes from insider @MyTimeToShineHello, who claimed that “Loki and Steve share important scenes together in Doomsday.” That opens the door to a lot of speculation about how and why these two characters would cross paths again, especially considering where each of them was left in the Marvel timeline.
Another detail comes from scooper Daniel Richtman, who added, “Tom Hiddleston has filmed a scene in Steve and Peggy’s home where he’s having a [conversation] with them.”
Marvel Studios obviouisly hasn’t commented on the report, and no footage from this scene has been leaked, but the idea raises some fascinating questions about the state of Steve’s life and Loki’s role in the multiverse.
The first teaser trailer for the film featured Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers at home, holding a baby, suggesting he’s living a quiet, domestic life far removed from any crazy Marvel Universe madness. It makes sense that Hayley Atwell will also return as Peggy.
Loki’s involvement is especially intriguing given his last appearance in Loki Season 2. By the end of that series, Loki had taken on the role of the God of Stories, anchoring and maintaining the multiverse’s timelines.
If he’s now stepping away from that responsibility to visit Steve and embark on a new adventure, it raises some questions, like how Loki can travel while holding that position, or how his actions might affect the stability of reality itself.
Multiversal chaos seems to be at the heart of Avengers: Doomsday. Incursions and branching timelines have been referenced repeatedly, setting the stage for characters from different realities to collide.
Filming has reportedly taken place in London, with speculation that these scenes could represent past events or variant timelines, though on-set sources haven’t confirmed which actors were involved.
Marvel Studios is keeping its cards close to the chest, but if these rumors hold true, the interaction between Steve Rogers and Loki could be a really cool dynamic considering their MCU history.
Seeing a retired Steve confronted by a god who now oversees all stories in the multiverse feels like classic Marvel, personal stakes mixed with cosmic consequences.
Avengers: Doomsday is currently set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026.
