AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Reportedly Teaming Deadpool With Wolverine and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man

A new report suggests Avengers: Doomsday is lining up a little team-up that fans will flip out over if true. It sounds like Wade Wilson will be spending most of his time alongside Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine and Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man.

Marvel Studios formally rolled out the leads for Avengers: Doomsday back in March, but the reveal of more surprises are absolutely part of the plan. The reveal that Chris Evans is returning as Steve Rogers was enough to send the internet into a franzy of excitement, and that might only be scratching the surface of what’s coming.

The Hollywood trades have already locked in Ryan Reynolds returning as Deadpool, which raises a lot of interesting possibilities. Beyond that, online scoopers have repeatedly claimed that Hugh Jackman will be back as Wolverine and that Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man is set to play a major role in the story.

Now, insider scooper @MyTimeToShineH is adding fuel to the fire, reporting that much of Jackman’s screen time in Avengers: Doomsday will see Wolverine paired with Maguire’s Spider-Man and Reynolds’ Deadpool. If true, that trio could easily dominate the movie.

That rumor also gives a little extra weight to talk that Spider-Man’s world is destroyed, forcing him to land on Earth-10005, where he links up with the X-Men. It’s a clean way to bring these characters together while leaning hard into the multiverse chaos Marvel has been building toward.

The idea of Wolverine, Spider-Man, and Deadpool sharing the screen is the kind of crossover that once felt impossible. Ironically, it’s something Kevin Feige had in mind long before the MCU even existed as we know it.

The Marvel Studios president famously pushed to include Wolverine at the end of 2002’s Spider-Man, showing he was already imagining a shared superhero universe years before Iron Man kicked everything off.

Now, it looks like Feige may finally get to pull that idea off, and tossing Deadpool into the mix feels like a smart way to chase the same lightning-in-a-bottle energy that made Deadpool & Wolverine such a huge hit.

Jackman was recently asked about his potential involvement in Avengers: Doomsday , and he didn’t exactly shut the door. He teased, "Maybe. I'm never saying 'never' ever again! I have done ten films now, so I think they have enough for an AI version of me."

Avengers: Doomsday is currently set to hit theaters on December 18, 2026, followed by Avengers: Secret Wars on December 17, 2027. If Marvel sticks the landing, fans could be in for one of the most outrageous team-ups the franchise has ever attempted.
