AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Rumor Teases a Wild POV Cameo Featuring Legendary Marvel Heroes
A new Avengers: Doomsday rumor claims the upcoming MCU event movie may have a few more surprises waiting in the wings.
According to an online claim from scooper @bluemintues on X, recent reshoots have apparently brought additional heroes into Avengers: Doomsday, including Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, and Sue Storm.
More interestingly, the rumor points to a mysterious sequence involving legendary Marvel heroes that could play out from a very different perspective.
The scooper said: “As Avengers Doomsday reshoots have been wrapped. Captain Marvel, Scarlet Witch, Sue Storm and many more heroes have been added.
“There’s also one scene which is more like POV of legendary heroes cameo which I think audience will find mind-bending.”
It’s the POV aspect that makes this especially interesting. Marvel typically gets mileage out of a major returning character by putting them right in front of the audience and letting the reveal do the work.
A sequence shown through the eyes of a mystery hero could instead keep their identity hidden while allowing audiences to experience the moment from their perspective.
Depending on how it’s handled, that could turn a familiar cameo into something much more unexpected.
Of course, we have no idea who these “legendary heroes” might be, how many characters are involved, or what the rumored scene actually contains.
This information comes from an online Marvel scoop and should be treated strictly as a rumor. Marvel hasn’t confirmed the sequence or the reported additions from the reshoots.
Even without them, Avengers: Doomsday already has a ridiculous amount of Marvel history packed into its cast.
Robert Downey Jr. is also making his MCU return, but instead of coming back as Tony Stark. But hell, he could also come back as a Tony Stark variant! That would be interesting to see! What if the POV view came from someone like Stark?
If the Russo brothers really are hiding another group of legacy heroes in a secret POV sequence, figuring out who they could be is going to fuel plenty of speculation between now and release.
Avengers: Doomsday arrives in theaters December 18, 2026.
