Awesome Costumes and Concept Art for INDIANA JONES 5
During Disney’s D23 Expo this weekend Lucasfilm showed off some of the awesome costumes and concept art for director James Mangold and Harrison Ford’s Indiana Jones 5! I’ve been ridiculously excited about his movie, and thanks to this concept art, we have a little bit more insight into what we can expect from the film. Judging from the images, it looks like this new story will be set in Thailand.
We even get a glimpse of the famed archeologist hunting for some kind of artifact, but I have no idea what it could be. It’s a great visual, though! It looks like Jones is going to find himself on another wild adventure! We also get to see the costume that Mads Mikkelsen will be wearing, which looks very familiar.
Producer Frank Marshall previously hyped up the next chapter of the archeological adventure franchise saying: "It's a great story, it's a great character, and I think you're going to be very happy with this movie. It's everything I think that everybody wants out of an Indiana Jones movie."
The film is reportedly set in the ‘60s during the space race, which has seemingly been confirmed by set photos that have surfaced. Those photos show a big ticker-tape parade featuring red, white, and blue prop signs that read “Welcome Back to Earth” and “Welcome Back Astronauts.”
The movie has also filmed scenes at the "haunted" Bamburgh Castle, which has people speculating that this movie will include a scrapped Last Crusade storyline that saw Indiana Jones battling a ghost while on vacation. You can read more about that here.
Steven Spielberg is producing the film and the cast also includes Antonio Banderas, Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Boyd Holbrook, and Shaunette Renée Wilson.
Indiana Jones 5 is set to hit the big screen on June 30th, 2023.
