Badass MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE Concept Art Gives The Villains a Dark Horror-Inspired Redesign
Here's an awesome collection of Masters of the Universe concept art created by artist Paul Gerrard, who previously worked as a conceptual designer on the new Hellboy film. His goal with these was to show us what some of the villains would look like as part of a dark horror film. I've always kind of considered Masters of the Universe a part of the fantasy horror genre because of all the crazy monsters and creatures that are in it and the designs of these monsters are so cool.
The characters presented here include Skeletor, Evil-Lyn, Mer-Man, Trap Jaw, and Man-E-Faces. I absolutely love the crazy character designs here. It looks a hell of a lot better than the concept art that director David S. Goyer teased last week. Maybe Goyer should've hired this guy!
