BATWOMAN Pilot Gets a New Director and Adds Dougray Scott to the Cast
A couple of months ago, The CW officially ordered a pilot for Batwoman with David Nutter set to direct it. Unfortunately, Nutter is stepping down for personal reasons although he will stay attached to the project as an executive producer. In addition, the pilot for Batwoman will now be directed by Marcos Siega.
This isn’t the only news about Batwoman though as the cast has expanded. Jacob Kane, the father of Kate Kane, aka Batwoman, will be portrayed by Dougray Scott. Here’s a description of the character courtesy of The Wrap:
“The elder Kane is a former military colonel with a chip on his shoulder for Batman. Now commanding Gotham’s private security firm The Crows, Kane has made it his mission to protect his city better than the Dark Knight ever could. But it’s only a matter of time before his unwavering disdain for vigilantes puts him at odds with Gotham’s new caped crusader.”
Are you excited to see Batwoman get her own series on The CW? The show is being written by Caroline Dries.
