Beautiful Trailer for LITTLE WOMEN Makes the Story New Again

I am a lifelong fan of Louisa May Alcott’s classic autobiographical novel, Little Women. I watched the Katharine Hepburn version as a kid, and loved the 1994 Winona Ryder version, and now we are being treated to a new iteration with a wonderful cast and a director who loves the story as much as any of us big fans.

We reported previously that Golden Globe-winning and Oscar-nominated director Greta Gerwig (Lady Bird) has a deep love for the project, as she previously stated, “This feels like autobiography. When you live through a book, it almost becomes the landscape of your inner life.… It becomes part of you, in a profound way.” I love that and so appreciate that when seeing a film made that follows a story so close to my own heart.

Saoirse Ronan (Hanna, Lady Bird) teams back up with Gerwig to star as Jo March, and is joined by Florence Pugh (Fighting With My Family, the upcoming Black Widow film), Emma Watson (Harry Potter films), Eliza Scanlen (Sharp Objects), Laura Dern (Jurassic Park, Big Little Lies), and Meryl Streep (The Devil Wears Prada, Big Little Lies), Timothee Chalamet (Call Me By Your Name, Beautiful Boy), James Norton (Grantchester), Bob Odenkirk (Better Call Saul), and Chris Cooper (American Beauty).
