Behind-the-Scenes Promo for GOOD LUCK, HAVE FUN, DON'T DIE Shows Sam Rockwell and Cast Embracing the Madness
If you needed another reason to be excited about Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die, Briarcliff Ent. just dropped a killer five-minute behind-the-scenes promo that makes it clear this sci-fi ride was an absolute blast to make.
The film hits theaters this February, and the new footage digs into the energy, chaos, and strange charm that Gore Verbinski brought to the set while wrangling a cast full of heavy hitters inside one very recognizable Los Angeles diner.
The plot is super fun. A guy claiming to be from a future wrecked by artificial intelligence storms into a Norms diner and takes everyone hostage, not for money or power, but to recruit the exact mix of miserable, overlooked people needed to save humanity.
The plan involves one night, six city blocks, and a ticking clock that could decide whether the world makes it another day. It’s sci-fi with attitude, packed with sharp commentary about AI, computers, and how spectacularly bad humans can be at managing their own creations.
Sam Rockwell leads the charge as the frantic man from the future, and the behind-the-scenes footage shows he’s having a great time riding that unhinged energy. He’s joined by Michael Peña, Juno Temple, Zazie Beetz, Asim Chaudhry, and Tom Taylor.
Verbinski hasn’t released a feature since A Cure for Wellness back in 2016, and with this next project, it looks like he’;s really to rock and roll. He’s always been drawn to big swings and offbeat worlds. That same mindset is all over this film.
One of the best parts of the promo is hearing the cast talk about working with Verbinski. There’s a genuine affection for his style and leadership, and one moment sums it up perfectly: "We put our trust in this man, and he's taken us home."
The script comes from Matthew Robinson, whose past work includes Love and Monsters and Dora and the Lost City of Gold.
Briarcliff Ent. is rolling Good Luck, Have Fun, Don’t Die into theaters nationwide on February 13th, 2026, and I can’t wait to watch it!
